Kekezza are a lively Cornish dance and music group who perform internationally, showcasing their traditional dances, music and songs. The group originally formed in 2006 and since then has gone on to represent Cornwall at festivals in Brittany, Asturias and Wales.
Kekezza have two costumes, traditional and modern, both of which incorporate the pinks, purples and white of the Cornish heather from which their name ‘Kekezza’ comes, as well as the black of the Cornish flag.
Last year they performed at the 70th anniversary of Sidmouth Folk Festival and the Lorient Interceltic Festival, taking Cornish dance to over 2.5 million people in 2 weeks. They are excited to visit and perform at Shennaghys Jiu for their first visit as a group to the Isle of Man.
