Karrygi Du (Cornish: ‘Black Rock’) come together for their debut appearance at Shennaghys Jui in 2023 bringing with them their own twist on Cornish culture to the festival. Its members all boast a collective wealth of experience having played and toured with some of Cornwall’s leading music ensembles including The Stowes, The Brim Ceilidh Band and The Changing Room. They are all popular faces on the Cornish folk scene and are certainly no strangers to festivals having performed at numerous festivals over the years both locally and internationally. The result is an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary dancing, music and song with a line-up consisting of piano accordion, fiddle and bouzouki, plus a handful of dancers.
